There's been some more information released regarding the game, although some of it is speculation from the Famitsu team. First off, they're guessing that the party size might be capped at three due to the inclusion of actions such as "Delta Strike" and "Tri Disaster." The other piece of speculation includes actions that are available during battle.
However, their report isn't limited to simply speculation. While most people might have figured this out, the Shiva twins aren't going to be the only summons to feature the Driving Mode in the game. However, they didn't provide any names regarding the other summons with this ability. Other news regarding the gameplay includes different strategies you can pull off during battle other than simply launching enemies to the air.
Regarding the story, producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Motomu Toriyama, and the art director Isamu Kamikokuryo provided more information on the Fal'cie and L'cie characters. They commented on how summons are featured in the plot, as well as Snow and Lightning's summon markings. Apparently, Lightning's is located somewhere on her breast. While they refused to reveal any information on the new blond character featured in the trailer, they did mention her during the discussion. They also went on to describe the locations of Pulse and Cocoon.

With that juicy new E3 trailer showing lots of new, mysterious bits on Final Fantasy XIII, we've been counting the days for the new issue of Famitsu so that we could finally make sense of it all. The big day is today, and Japan's biggest game magazine came through with a massive 17 page feature on the game, filled with new details.
Unfortunately, a good amount of the feature is merely speculation. But it's speculation from presumably Famitsu's FF pros, so we'll pass along what they say.
The battle footage in the new trailer and from the live Xbox 360 gameplay demonstration showed a bunch of new icons that weren't in the Japan-only PS3 Advent Children demo. Some of these can be seen in these screens at Famitsu.com. Of particular note is the icon to the upper left of the timer gauge. It shows the L1 trigger next to words like "Tri Disaster" and "Delta Strike" depending on the screenshot. Below all that is the word "Optima." The magazine speculates that the use of "tri" and "delta" indicates that this could have something to do with a move involving your full party of three.
