Canadians deprived of PlayStation Network cards need not do without anymore as some fine PushSquare reader has informed the public they're not available in the region.

So, we’re only really posting about this because the Canadians never seem to shut-up about pre-paid PSN cards. Well today looks to put an end to your misery, as eagle-eyed Canadian Joystiq readers have apparently got their hands on $20 PSN cards in the land of Maple Syrup.

I used to want those things so that I didn't have to put my CC info on my PS3. But now with as long as it's taken to become widely seen (still never saw one myself), I don't care anymore It's been nearly 3 years of me putting my CC info on my PS3.

Swine flu has recently been classed as a lvl 6 pandemic because its been spotted around the world. I was making reference to how these cards have been "spotted" in Canada, and made a joke about whether these cards are going to be labelled as a pandemic too.

        I failed didn't I?.....

I would sure appreciate some PSN cards here in Canada. Though if they are being sold here, I haven't seen them locally.

I don't think the things are ever going to penetrate the global market. Sony underestimated the reluctance for stores to buy a special machine just to activate the PSN cards, which for a single product is pretty expensive.

So, since Sony has expanded its cards to Canada, I wonder when they'll release them in EU regions?
