Virtual Console library hits 100 games w/ Zelda II

The inclusion of four newly released retro classics to the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console wracks up a solid 100 titles available to old-skool fans and 'less seasoned' gamers alike. Roll on Goldeneye!

According to an official Nintendo press release, 1985’s Super Mario Bros. has proven the most popular title release to date, followed by Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario World, and The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time. Meanwhile, the Kyoto-based giant says that 4.7 million downloads have been purchased since the Virtual Console kicked into action on November 19 last year.

    I have just, after years since I got it on the Super Nintendo finished Super Mario World today.

    And I had thought starting The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64 and finishing on a Gamecube special disc was funny.

    I've only beat Star Fox 64 and the original Super Mario Brothers on my Wii so far. But it's nice to see that the VC is already at 100 titles. But only maybe 15 of them ar ebig names.

    Wow, a 100 games on the Virtual console already.

    I've only downloaded Mario Kart 64 and now my library of Wii games on the VC has expanded.

    I'm going to have to spend my remaining Wii points wisely.

    I only have three Virtual Console games. Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong Country.

    I already have Zelda II on my Zelda Collector's edition game, so there's no need for me to download it.

    Hmm I've only downloaded the most popular ones really.

    - Super Mario Bros.
    - Super Mario 64
    - Mario Kart 64
    - Zelda: A Link to the Past
    - Zelda: Ocarina of Time
    - Sonic the Hedgehog

    Great news that it has reached this milestone. I hope many more VC games will be available in the future.

    Awesome 100 VC Games ^^. I love the VC channel it brings back so many freaking memories XD. And they have made so much money from our want to bring back memories XD, isn't that just great =P.
