Angelina Jolie Angry That Megan Fox Might Be The Next Lara Croft

Actress Angelina Jolie reportedly isn't happy that Megan Fox is in the running as Lara Croft for the next Tomb Raider movie, claiming that Megan "won't do the Lara Croft character justice"...

A source added: "Angie isn't a fan of the Transformers films and believes Megan won't do the Lara Croft character justice. She's also annoyed because she thinks Megan copies everything from her, from her tattoos to her style."

Ouch.

And Angelina isn't going to take it lying down - she is using her industry "experience" to launch a counter-attack.

It is rumoured she is working on a new all-action project which she hopes will challenge Meg's Tomb Raider effort.

    I think somebody's just a bit jealous that the Hollywood limelight has found a new starlet to ogle at. As for the news itself, it's pretty logical to go with a younger actress for a prequel.

    Ouch indeed 0_o It does sound a fair bit like a jealousy thing.

    But you know what? I KINDA agree with her. I can't see her being as good a Lara as Angie was >_>

    Seeing as it is a prequel though, she seems a good a choice as any, she has a sort of similar look about her, just toned down a bit.

    While I do agree that Angie will always be the best Lara lookswise (she's got Lara's whole big-lips/big-boob/square-jaw/arched-eyebrows look)... it probably isn't a good idea to publically insult other actors who might take over that role.

      I agree, Jolie, as much as I don't like her, did fit the role very well, but true, she shouldn't insult fellow actors like this. I thought that they were going to go for an unnamed actress.

    Rofl Jolie looks like Fox's mother in that side by side comparison.

    Plus imo Jolie has lost her looks now and couldn't even do tomb raider if it was a sequel.

    I reckon Fox will do a great job IF she is chosen to be in the prequel.

    O and lol at Jolie's comment about Fox copying her, thats just plain sad. Seriously she needs to shut up and move on.

    Imo, Jolie is definitely too old to play Lara Croft now, but I was hoping that they'd get someone other than Fox. I completely agree with the "Fox copying Jolie" thing- I've been thinking exactly that since I first saw Fox out of film.

    Well I can understand that. I mean She's been Lara all this time and pretty much "created" the character in the movies because it's been her. So I can understand her side.

    But I can understand the other side too. This is a prequel, right? If so, it's almost always needful to have a younger look-alike for the character. Unless the prequel was close enough to the first movie that she wouldn't really need to look younger.
