This guy must be thick as pig shit. He was the producer. He didn't create shit. Regardless of whether the video-game characters in MK are just block characters with FFFF all story, who wrote the script for the films? The same people who came up with said block characters. So they created the characters as bare bones and added the skin and because you threw money at it, it's your property? Go *bleep* yourself.

Hey, when people sign contracts they have to follow through on them. Midway cant just sell the IP of which they don't have the full rights too.

That's why it's bullshit. He doesn't own them, video-game-wise, he just claims to have because a film he was the producer of made them more popular then they were. Midway aren't selling anything that isn't theirs, the legal movie rights still belong to his company and whoever else has a stake in them, the deal is for games alone. He either hasn't heard of research or is looking to take money from Midway which isn't rightfully his; either way he's a dick.

    Bullshit.

MK is the IP of Midway, only adapted into a movie by the producer. If this goes to court, Midway is going to flatten him. But I don't think it will go there, the producer is probably looking for a settlement or something.
