The latest addition to the Zelda series, creator Shigeru Miyamoto reveals in a new interview with Nintendo Power, will not be "radically different", when asked whether the game will stick to the formula or go in a new direction.

As long as it gets "the magic" down, unlike with Twilight Princess, as some feel, we're happy.

Said Miyamoto: I don't think it's going to be that radically different." Simple, straight to the point. Therefore, we'll be seeing more of that classic taste so familiar to our tastebuds. And fans will just probably have to wait until the next one before we see any major changes.

For a franchise that's well-known for its long-standing formula, how do you make it evolve without losing your loyal fanbase?

*bleep* you, Miyamoto. As long as it's somewhat story driven and still awesome, I'll be fine. But do something different with the new technology you have at your hands, you asian bastard.

Power to the players! And you win for dissin Miyamoto. That takes serious stuff.

Also, I think that fairy is actually Navi. Watch it be Navi, or some relative of her.

If you're saying its Navi, then you think this game is a sequel to Ocarina of Time?

        I HIGHLY doubt that.

Isn't every game a spiritual sequel to OoT these days?

And it could be Navi. Where the hell did she go after OoT and MM? Link never did find her.

If its Navi that's not spiritual sequel, that's an actual sequel, there's a difference.

Also, I dunno, but I don't see why you should assume that she suddenly grew at an abnormal rate and can (possibly) transform into a sword.

I don't know, that quote feels so out-of-context like this that it's hard to get a read on what it could or couldn't entail.

Is Miyamoto thinking "radically different" is shifting Zelda to a futuristic FPS, or "radically different" is a different story with the same mechanics, or "radically different" is a game designed for 10 year old girls?

As long as it's a Zelda game, it doesn't bother me. I just hope they enhance the difficulty of it. Majora's Mask difficulty please. =/

Majora's Mask was nothing compared to Zelda II.

I agree with captain boo,as long as it's a zelda game that's at least similar to the other games, then it doesn't bother me.

But I would like it to be a little harder, and I'd like to see the magic bar return, along with Din's fire,Faore's wind, and Naryu's love .
