Uh-oh. If you thought the Resident Evil movie series had reached it's end, you were wrong. It looks like another Resident Evil movie is currently in the works.

Titled Resident Evil: Afterlife, the movie is set for release in 2010. And yep, actress Mila Jovovich will be back.

We've just learned from a studio insider that Sony is looking to get Resident Evil: Afterlife into theaters by September 17, 2010.

Duh, it showed Tokyo enslaved by zombie goasts, did you THINK it was gonna end with everyone still zombies, and an army of clones who weren't put to a good use yet?

    Why uh-oh?

The resident evil films are fantastic for what they are.

A series of films loosely based on the RE series itself, basically having a brand new story but referencing RE on the way.

Even without the "RE" name, they're generic zombie movies. I can't go as far to say that they are fantastic at anything they do, tbh.

Meh, each to their own i guess. I've liked the RE movies since watching the first one and have enjoyed the action and the intertextual references to the RE series. I'm happy to see some characters from the series itself without them ruining it altogether.

I wouldn't say their just generic zombie movies, i mean theirs alot more than zombies in them, specially when you think about the whole alice having psychic powers stuff that they threw in there.

I wish I could say that the references to RE made me happy, but they screwed up pretty much everything that was referenced from the games. The only thing I got a kick out of was how frickin' amazing the actress who played Jill was, but she spent most of the movie freaking out and having Alice save the day. >_>

Tbh, I would have been happier if they were just generic zombie movies. As much as I love Milla Jovovich, creating the Alice character was the most *bleep*ing stupid idea. All the movies needed were hoardes of zombies and the S.T.A.R.S members trying to take them down. We're Resident Evil fans, we don't need good in-depth plots. XD

I actually really enjoyed the first one. The second two, not so much. The second one was watchable, but I had to turn off the third one about half an hour in. But, I hated them for killing off Matt Addison and turning him into Nemesis.

If you take them at face value, they're pretty fun.

I'll wait for it to hit the movie channels in 2011. =P

Hmm . . . interesting. I can't recall anything from the movies really.

Okay, yes, I can, but the plot of the movies, nada. Just basic scenes flashing in my head. I may have to re-watch at least the last live action one.
