Grip-friendly Wii Remote casing now available!

mistermostyn | June 05, 2007 | News | Wii Gaming Tech/Hardware
Innovation takes a backseat to practicality today with Elecom's Wii Remote casing that swiftly turns the Wii's groundbreaking controller back into a more traditional method of gaming precision. No need to splash the cash for that pseudo classic controller now. Yay!
Enter Elecom. The Japanese peripheral firm has put together a specially designed controller case for those Wii owners looking for a little more comfort while tearing around Excite Truck’s courses or Hyrule’s vast lands.

Sounds kinda useless if you ask me. I wouldn't buy it.

    Haha, now it's like a PS3 controller.

Umm, that's kind of useless. This just makes it seem like any other controller, when you could easily do without it. If it helps you in games, then so be it, but I really doubt it does.

Um, that's so wrong =\, it totally takes away from the whole driving car effect, and I totally agree with Ameer it's a PS3 controller now XD.

Umm, yes there *bleep*ing is. Any game that isn't a Turbo Graphix 16 or a NES game will need either a Classic Controller or a GameCube controller, because they have X and Y buttons, and shoulder buttons.

Stupid article doesn't have a clue. Stupid accessory too.

It is a dumb accessory. I'll just still to the regular remote.

Wow, how did we ever play the NES, with its corners and such.

I would like to see someone play Zelda with this thing, with the whole "pointing device" thing, not to mention the need of the analog stick.

What the heck, you couldn't play many Wii games at all with this accessory. Haha I can imagine somebody trying to play Twilight Princess with this then suddenly realising that he is so restricting himself.

I could maybe see using it for one of my Wii titles, but even then it's wholely unnecessary. >>

Personally I like the regular Wiimote a lot better then this new one. When I get a Wii I'm gonna stick to the regular Wiimote.

Too bad not many games really require using the Wii Remote like that. Games like Super Paper Mario are played like that, but I still prefer to play with just the Wii Remote itself.
