While the Japanese market may have decline as a whole so far in 2009 for the video game industry with decreasing sales in the software and hardware front, a select few video games managed to succeed under the tough economic conditions in the land of the rising sun.

      Because it's one of the top 5 best-selling games in Japan.

      Remember it's best-selling, as in what gets the most sales, not as in what games are good.

    MHF unite #2. i'm somewhat surprised by this; i knew the game was gonna be present, but i was figuring #4-5 behind some big RPGs.

      They've made a mistake then. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is for OUTSIDE Japan. If they game were selling in Japan, it would be under the name Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, not Freedom Unite.
