Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that Left 4 Dead will continue to receive new content after the release of it's successor later this year.

It was also stated that the announcement of Left 4 Dead 2 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles last month was not intended to signify the end of Valve’s support for the first title, which is suggested to be set to continue after the release of the second game this November.

I call bullshit. They said the same exact thing before L4D1 came out. At most they'll MAYBE fix some glitches, but not give us CONTENT, as they PROMISED.

Spoiled, much? Need I remind you that these things are free? And you a probably talking about the 360 version, no? Well it's more difficult to update that version without slapping a price tag on it, and then there's the space limitations. The huge Survival Pack that game out just a few months ago was a great addition, adding the other campaigns to versus as well as Survival mode.

Eh, the PC version is still superior without a doubt. And holy crap, they never promised anything. They said to expect new content...but Valve do have a tendency to support their games...look at TF2. The PC version got the 'matchmaking' bits and lobby fixes, as well as being able to use custom maps more fluently.

They are giving us content, new campaigns, characters, and weapons for L4D people. Its just that fanboys are assholes and bother Valve when they are trying to give us a good game. L4D2 and L4D1 will both be handled by pros, Valve gave us freakin' Half-Life and TF2 for crying out loud.
