In an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto during E3, Nintendo Power had asked him about the possibility of seeing a Kid Icarus game any time soon. While Miyamoto neither confirmed nor denied the possibility, he did ask fans to "wait, please." Don't expect to be seeing it any time soon, but it sounds like a pretty positive sign for an eventual release.

A portion of a Nintendo Power interview with Miyamoto...

NP: And, of course, I have to ask: have you given any thought to putting a new Kid Icarus game on Wii or DS?

Miyamoto: Wait, please. I'm really surprised how popular that is. But you are the first person to ask at this E3!

Well, telling us to wait is the easiest way to keep us quiet. That way, if/when a new Kid Icarus is announced, we can say that Miyamoto was right!

Good call Miyamoto we have only been waiting… 22 years since the last game!!! But instead of making a game like Kid Icarus you make garbage like the Wii Fit for casual gamers.

I'll wait for Miyamoto to die then maybe we can get a Kid Icarus game. If you didn't want these questions maybe you shouldn't have put him in Smash Brothers. You made your bed, now you have to lay in it.

Well maybe they can use that Angel game capcom was developing long ago for the GC that got scrapped. Also miyamoto....WHERE'S KIRBY???!!!

Like did Sakurai give him up?
