Nintendo Plans Wii Sports Resort Vacation Event Smack Dab in Times Square

Smack dab in the middle of Times Square on Military Island, Nintendo is planning an all out vacation event, they're bringing the beach to Manhattan! All in celebration of an early launch event for Wii Sports Resort.

Nintendo will be taking over the strip in Times Square known as Military Island and reforming it for a good six hours into a beach resort. Complete with a swimming pool, a sandy beach, and a lounge. In the middle of Times Square!?

    I like the idea, not just because I need a new Wii game to play.

    But anyway, about the resort: I would love to go there just because it would be a cool experience, but I live nowhere near the Times Square.
