A nice interview found on some new tech that lets you put your face on virtual avatars, like home and even warcraft. Good read and has links to back it up. I hope this does come, maybe it will draw more people to Home.

In a recent interview with PhysOrg.com, Dr David McKinnon a
researcher from Queensland University of Technology and the
Australasian CRC for Interaction Design (ACID), has made a
revolutionary new software that could have tremendous benefits for
Sony's playstation Home.

The Tony Hawk's Underground games on the Playstation 2 had this option back in the day

Yes we know the technology is not new . . . "face" mapping (can't recall what it's really called) is nothing new.

However . . . it's new to HOME, where such a feature would be a huge thing (good or bad). So yes, this is news, and it's kinda good news.

Though I really would like HOME to focus first and foremost on making the current community aspects of home better. Such as ways of communicating, and things for clubs to do, etc.

Though this is new, Tony Hawk's Underground had face mapping but it wasn't in real time. Real time face mapping in video games is still very much rare and something that should be implemented in any game with a character creator.

That's a good idea. Because then we'll able to see the 'predators' we meet =D

I WANT THIS! Mostly because I'm terrible with the character creator, but I would love to see how the thing negotiates beards and what not.
