Diablo 3 at Blizzcon 2007?

For all you Diablo fans, hopes of a third game could be finally realised. Blizzcon 2007 is coming up and with the recent announcement of StarCraft 2, new games seem to be hot on Blizzard's agenda. Let's hope.

The announcement of the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals 2007 held in South Korea, and its one-week splash page teaser got many Diablo fans hyped up. When Starcraft 2 was announced, Diablo fans’ hopes went down the drain. I have seen reactions at different Diablo forums, including the official forums, where fans have lost all hope for Diablo III.

I would say to those fans, it is not over until the fat lady sings. Diablo is coming … there is no doubt of that. The signs of its coming is all over the place. You just have to be sharp to notice.

Blizzard has been hiring developer staff for the last three years. The job descriptions in the past three years have clearly stated the job openings were for the “Diablo Team”.

    Ah, this would be awesome. I hope it's not just another lame, MMORPG, I'd like them to keep the same play-style as Diablo, while still keeping it fresh.

    OOOO, my wife would love to stop the release of Diablo III since I spent so much time on Diablo II. HEHEHEH I'll have to upgrade my PC if this release is real.

    Interesting. Hopefully Diablo III will be made since Diablo II was awesome. I played it at my friend's house all the time and I would surely get Diablo III if they make it.

    I really can't see Diablo being a MMORPG. Blizzard wouldn't want to compete with themselves.

    Given that starcraft 2 kept true to the original, I'd expect Diablo to stay true to the series

      Indeed, though I've heard rumours all over the place about MMOs based particularly on StarCraft, so you never really know.

    Nice one, Diablo II is awesome. Diablo III is seriously going to be an ace game, but I will definitely need to upgrade my PC tenfold for it to be playable, haha.
