This week's top ten from Major Nelson shows Battlefield jumping of course to the top of the Arcade charts, but also sees the title jump onto the regular Live Activity list.

Major Nelson has posted the LIVE Activity list for the week of July 6th, and it is very surprising. As you can see from the title, Battlefield 1943 has accomplished something only once done before with Castle Crashers.

Despite initially having server issues, EA overcame that hurdle right away and it seems to have pleased gamers. Battlefield 1943 has cracked the top numbers for disc based games, taking out Rock Band 2 from the list completely. I am not sure how long this will last, but with chatter on this game being quite good, I am expecting to see the game on the top games for at least another few weeks.

Do the servers at least work yet ? I haven't bought it yet and only tried the demo, but my understanding is that the servers weren't built to handle the massive influx of players and are difficult to get into.

They work fine now. DICE and EA said it should all be ship shape now, and if there are problem,s to post them on their troubleshooting forum or something.

Also, people are assholes when it comes to the airplane(as in teammates blow it up before you enter it just to be an ass)
