Down to The Last Save has four great tips (plus some extra) for beginning players or Heroes of Newerth. With these tips you can start kicking ass and taking names instead of floundering.

Heroes of Newerth Tip #1: Don’t Die! Now this may see like a pretty straightforward tip at first, but if you aren’t careful, you will end up dead pretty quick. Dying means that you are out of the fight for an amount of time which increases with your level, but worse, the enemy gets bonus gold and xp for killing you.

      Something exceptionally similar to DotA, which I rather frown upon. Least Demigod went completely different yet similar.

      Its a "dungeon crawler" full of rude as hell people who boot nubs from the game, and have mikes with little girly voices, not to mention there is no tutorial to ease you into gameplay

    I agree with the rude people part; they can be horrible. The linked guide was written to help give a sort of "heads up" to new players. Otherwise you just end up getting beat on.
