Does it surprise you? It's a way to make money, and Microsoft looks for every way possible. It's what they do best.

On a more related note, I definitely love the idea of movie meet-ups; I remember Sony saying they were going to do something similar with Home, even watch movies that are in theaters... I guess Microsoft beat them to the punch... again.

Microsoft announced the movie parties feature when they first announced the Netflix partnership, so really it shouldn't come as a surprise.

I thought microsoft said that they weren't going to charge for avatar shit during it's first weeks/months then release a shop.

I never heard them say they wouldn't charge for it.

You currently pay for Xbox Live, you have to pay for the majority of DLC. This can't surprise you that much, surely?

However, I'm looking forward to making my avatar looking like Batman. Though I hope it's something cheap, like 100MS Points per outfit. I'm also going to guess that the 'Games on Demand' service will be at their RRP price, so I'm not using it. Don't want to buy a game for £49.99 when it's possible to get for £20-£30.

there are whats called "Awardables" which are things for your avatar that you can get by doing certain things in games or certain achievements. so maybe there will be a Batman cape or something you can get from Arkham Asylum.

Sweet, another update. It's looking good too, I want to try some of that stuff out really. The virtual theater and all.

I don't care for the new additions for customising avatars though, I've had the same avatar since I first made it. Looks fine as it always has done really.
