Joker WON'T Be Playable In 360's Arkham Asylum, Future DLC Coming To Both Consoles

A few months ago it was revealed that PS3 owners would get exclusive DLC for Batman: Arkham Asylum in the form of a playable Joker ...



But many people were left wondering whether the DLC would be a timed exclusive or not.

Yesterday Rocksteady confirmed that the Joker DLC won't be coming to the 360 version of the game at all. However there is more DLC planned for release on both consoles.

    Well, there never was any hints at more PS3 exclusive DLC, so it's not like anyone should be disappointed about that.

    However, Joker being completely exclusive to PS3 is a bit of a kick in the balls, what with Arkham Asylum being multiplat.

    Don't care about Halo and iirc PS3 also gets MGR at a later date than the 360 (I hope so), plus a MGS Spinoff can't compete with proper MGS.

    Are you guys really getting this wild over one character that's available for challenge stages only? A nice little add on for people planning to purchase this game for the PS3, but not much else.

    When is this game coming out? I'm really tired of hearing news about it, the movie came out over a year ago, and I'm sure that it isn't going to be as great as the hype around it is claiming.

    Tbh it's nothing to go crazy over, it's only Joker challenge stages =|

    And no matter what Rocksteady say, i refuse to believe this is just a PS3 exclusive.

    Like many other exclusives, they'll rant on about how it won't go over to 360, then in about 3-4months we'll learn that it was infact a timed exclusive paid for by Sony and we'll get the playable character ourselves.

    Now I know which version I'm getting. Although it's pretty unfortunate for 360 owners not getting The Joker. =/

    Should be cool playing as The Joker. Hopefully future DLC's involve other playable villains.

    Actually, I'm kinda glad for PS3 exclusive DLC. It doesn't seem to happen too often. Sad that it's only for challenge stages though, I was wondering about that. I was kinda hoping you'd get the chance to see the story from the Joker's point of view.

    So they say The Joker is for PS3 exclusively and the rest of the DLC coming will be multiplat, and this translates to 360 will be getting Joker DLC as well? Are you people high or something? When has Sony ever paid for exclusivity, especially in DLC? That said, why does it even matter so much? Can we not have one article pertaining to exclusivity which doesn't turn into a kiddy, toy-throwing 'Wah, we get something else, wah, we don't care, we have Halo' or 'Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, you don't get it!'.

      the only reason i said anything was cause PS3 fans were already making a big deal about it like theyre the kings of the world because their version gets Joker. so i just said big deal, theres a lot of other villains id rather play as than Joker like Bain or Mr Freeze TBH. i cant vouch for the other ppl though.

    Reading the comments here you'd almost think an extra character in challenge mode is the biggest thing to ever happen to anything... ever. Like years from now people will say "Sliced bread was the greatest thing since the Joker content in Arkham Asylum."

      I see both sides of the spectrum: those who love it, and those who keep bashing it as no big deal.

      Why not just say "Oh, Cool." Whether you like it or not, instead of trying to dash someone else's excitement over exclusive DLC. To be honest, it seems to me, fanboyish to downplay this, when if it were something YOU'D enjoy (you in general, not just you dystopia, but the general public), you'd be excited too. Just like people were excited about playable Green Goblin in the CE of Spiderman 3, when all it was, was for certain modes and not the whole game.

      Let people be excited about it, even if you personally may not be. That's the awesomeness that is personal preferences and differences in tastes. It'd be quite boring if we all liked the same things.

    I have a PS3 so if I do get this game then I get Joker and if I owned a 360 I wouldn't really care about not getting the joker.

    I have never cared about getting or not getting a chracter.


    Just because we say we don't care doesn't mean we are trying to bring down others who do care.

    DystopiaSticker, why do you have to crash the party? Honestly, if the Joker was exclusive to the 360, it would not be a surprise. The 360 gets everything DLC-wise. I love the way when the PS3 actually switches it up for a change, the 360-ers come and say it's no big deal and act like total fanboys.

    Guys, if it's not such a big deal, leave us to celebrate and talk about it. Go talk about your precious Fallout 3 DLC before the PS3 gets it or something. Don't get so pissed when things turn the other way, ffs.

    It's a character playable in challenge maps, if he was playable throughout story mode or something, then damn that'd be a huge deal.

    Anyway, i'll be getting this for 360, but i'll be getting a PS3 like a month after it comes out anyway.

    All i'm saying is, it's no big deal caus i can put money on the fact that in about 3-4months it'll be announced that it was actually a TIMED exclusivity deal and will come out for the 360 soon. Just the same way that the Fallout 3 DLC was apparently "Exclusive"

    I probly couldn't name more than 5 people from the batman "universe" so this doesnt really make much of a difference to me. I might play with the Joker on challenge mode once just to see what his moves are and stuff but im mostly just playin for the story and the gameplay.
