The game of Atlus Japan's teaser site, leaked last week, has now been confirmed by the early leaks of this week's Famitsu to be confirmed. Atlus Japan will be releasing Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for the Nintendo DS.
Acting as the game's producer, original concept designer, character designer, and devil designer is none other than Kazuma Kaneko himself, who's name is synonymous with Shin Megami Tensei. Eiji Ishida (SMT3, Raidou) will act as the game's director, while scenario work will be handled by Shogo Isogai (SMT3, Raidou, Trauma series). Composing the game's music is who else but Shoji Meguro.
The game will be classic Megaten, featuring a first person perspective and exploration on the top screen, and a map on the bottom screen. A weird dimension has opened up on the South Pole, threatening mankind. The characters are outfitted with Demonica Suits, which will see upgrades along the way. Classic Megaten demons negotiations, fusions, and more are all in the game, and will feature over 300 demons.
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey will release on October 8th in Japan, for 6279 yen. Scans are courtesy of blog Wii @ Eveyday.
