Brutal Legend main controversy stems from Activision's acquistion of Vivendi Games. Brutal Legend didn't make the merger cut so to speak.

First Activision sues Double Fine, saying they had no right to seek a new publisher. Now Double Fine is returning fire. Countersuing Activision claiming they only seek to kill the game.

If you remember a certain story from way back when, Activision claimed that they owned the publishing rights to Brutal Legend, and because of this felt justified in suing the developer, Double Fine. Now, Double Fine and the gang have striked back, countersuing the video game giant.

They really don't care about the reputation they're developing, huh? I wonder if some day we'll see Activision try to reform itself like EA is doing now, hah. I'd honestly boycott Activision if it weren't for Modern Warfare 2.

I just want this game to be released. It looks too damn good to be destroyed by something like this.
