At Capcom's Lost Planet 2 panel during Comic-Con, producer, Jun Takeuchi, slipped some information regarding the game. He revealed that they are placing some emphasis on flying in Lost Planet 2 as there will be flying vehicles available in addition to the other mechs. So you can expect to take to the skies with 3 of your friends to fight the Akrid.

During a Q&A session following the Comic-Con 2009 Lost Planet panel, game producer Jun Takeuchi let slip that players would be taking to the air to do battle against the Akrid in the game's sequel.

The news came after a member of the audience asked if there would be more co-operative vehicles in the game in addition to the three-player mech we were shown during a brief demo. In response, Takeuchi explained that there would be more co-op vehicles, and some of them would fly.

After the panel was over I confirmed with Takeuchi's translating partner that yes, this was indeed new news and no, they might not have been supposed to say that.

Whatever...as long as it doesn't actually BECOME the gameplay, I'm fine. I was having a hell of a problem with the first game, seeing as there are a lot of parts of the game that just get weird. Like the ending, where your machine turns into this super, bladed mecha-samurai in which you end up fighting ANOTHER super mech...I didn't know producers of Gundam were involved in the game.

Giant robo mechas like that are common in japan in all forms of entertainment and otherwise. I kinda figured that battle was coming when I played as the mech against the big green bug boss

Hmm, I might just check this out, it seems that the shooters this year have abandoned Co-op (especially offline co-op) for some reason. And it makes me angry face.

As long as we can actually fly these vehicles without a brain hemmorage and a half its cool. Everything I see on this game looks awesome, except the camera, (and knowing the first game probably the controls too)
