Countdown timers are fast becoming the norm for announcing games, aren't they? Square Enix has put up another teaser site with a countdown timer, accompanied by "VII Days".

And FF7 fans cum the world over.

If it's a remake of 7 then good, perhaps this one may hold my interest long enough to actually get to the end without getting bored. If it's something else, then congrats on being the most fickle mother*bleep*ers to have ever existed Square.

I thought I'd lost interest in a possible FFVII remake. Then I opened this article and started flailing madly. XD

Please let it be another TWEWY game.

As much as I agree with you on that,I bet it's going to be another spin-off of FFVII. Maybe one that focuses on Red XIII/Nanaki?

Sorry to disappoint, but according to kotaku, it was VI days a few hours ago, do it might not have anything to do with FFVII

It's changed to VI now I take it the day just changed in Japan then?

Guess they're just using the numerals because it's cool or whatever. Fickle, fickle, fickle.

Any ideas about what 0807 could mean anyone?

Did the countdown start at VII though?
If it did, my guess is still something FFVII related.
If it ends up being non-FFVII related, then Squeenix are officially the most evil cockteasing game company in existence. XP

        A date, maybe?
        7th of August?

That's when it runs out in Japan, the timer. Well spotted.

You have a fair point though, if it did begin at VII. I suppose we'll find out on the sixth.

It could either be a sequel to TWEWY, Which would be AMAZING, this could be because it started at day 7 and in TWEWY their was 7 days per character you teamed up with, then it would switch to the next.

It could also be a FFVII remake, which i don't care for because the original will definitely always be the best.

Or it could be a new Final Fantasy remake coming to the DS and maybe the countdown will stop on one of the numbers.

Word on the street is that is something to do with Lord of Vermillion.

As cool as a FFVII remake would be, I highly doubt it. I've all but given up on Squeenix remaking the game. I just don't see why they wont milk it for all its worth, especially when they know so many people want one.

I don't get their business plan.
"Lets plan out what we'll work on next."
"There's a lot of people who want a FFVII remake, especially after releasing Advent Children".
    "Hmm, perhaps..but, I like ponies."
"Ponies?? but we already did that "
"Pony Friends 2!! lets doooo eeeet ^_________^"

I highly doubt a FF7 remake. It would be something a lot bigger than just a 7 day countdown. I would guess it has something to do with Lord of Vermillion or TWEWY.

they would probably consider a FF7 remake once the original FF7, movies, blue ray editions, collectors crap and any other thing they can milk from it stops making them money. Hell, I'd do it once it stopped becoming a cash cow, knowing how much fans would cream their pants for it. It's all about the money.
