When you hear about a "movie tie-in game," most of us think the worst. As you all know, there have been a lot of bad movie-based video games. The genre is sort of infamous for it's usual low quality. However, there has actually been quite a few decent movie-based games. (yes I know, it's hard to believe)

Advanced Media Network has put together a list of the five best movie games of all time.

5) Aladdin
Platform: SNES
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Why we picked it: Aladdin is not only another Disney movie-based game, it’s another movie game that rocks -- period. Developed by Capcom for the SNES, Aladdin combines action elements with platforming ones, the final product being very similar to Prince of Persia. Aladdin could run, jump and swing his way through death-defying situations as well as do battle with enemies of all kinds with his trusty sword. While there were a few unexpected levels that weren’t based off the film, the majority of the stages stayed true to the movie.

I have that Star Wars game =D Oh man...Aladdin was great. It was definately my second-most played game on the SNES, first being Super Mario World.

I happen to own Aladdin and Goldeneye 007. Both were my some of my favorite games at the time. Goldeneye was by far the best FPS during the N64/PS1 era, (Perfect Dark was also great) and one of the best multiplayer games. (4 player split screen FTW!) I spent alot of time with Aladdin too. (the movies were great )

I have to fully agree that Goldeneye is without a doubt the best movie game that exists today, as it ended up being one of my favourite N64 games of all time, and my favourite shooter.

Rogue Leader was also a legendary game which was a great release game for the Gamecube to show off the abilities it had. Had tons of fun with that one.

Goldeneye was definitely the best choice for number one.

Yep, Goldeneye just rocked, pure and simple...

    When I was younger, I loved the Lion King game, and played it a lot ;;

I didn't play the others...but I thought the N64 Star Wars game was good too...

That Alladin game brings back good memories. Such a fun game. One that actually turned out well from being a movie. And I agree with Goldeneye being the top of the list. Lion King was good to.

I remember playing the Lion King and Aladdin as a kid, and both were quite good. Definitely deserve their spots.

Aladin reminds me of my childhood but then I'm still 15. Not that old you know. But I guess Star Wars is so good. It's one of the best movie-based games.

I noticed also that all of the good movie games were made before there was a huge emphasis on graphics. I think nowadays developers are more worried about making the game more visually pleasing then they are about making it fun.

Before I read it I will guess Golden Eye, Jedi Academy and a Lord of the Rings game made the list.

I got 1.3 right out of three.
