Sony is seemingly not prepared to give up the ghost on its handheld PlayStation Portable platform, despite it being trounced at every turn by the clamshell appeal of a certain Nintendo DS. Further to that, details are beginning to emerge concerning the new, slim line PSP 2.
Essentially, the revised PSP will feature the same fundamental innards as its predecessor; indeed, it seems to be the handhelds exterior thats going to see the more significant tweaks, starting off with a new LED screen that will apparently sport a sharper image, take up less space, and use up far less of the battery.

The ability to run homebrew in the normal one is awesome, but I think Sony will increase the security on this one.
And yeah, it needs a better battery.
I'm pretty sure this is just a redesign, not a new PSP.
One being the battery and probably others. Since its a redesign i think you will still be able to use the features the original had. Andyds how do you know it wont allow us to use homebrew. The ps2 redesign was the same if not better than the original, the difference was size.
I'm not saying that the PSP is bad, but it does need improvements. It is a bit bulky, and I'm happy they're making it slightly smaller. But there's one thing I really don't like about the PSP - its joystick. It's just weird, and to be honest, I'm really crap at it.
