WipEout HD Gets Advertisements, Increased Load-Times

It seems that PSN is getting some ads of its own, the latest WipEout HD brings advertisements during those load screens. The worst part: The ads appear to increase the load times by 10 seconds. Luckily it's not every time you load.




This video shows the load time difference, however, various comments on youtube suggest that the load time is NOT affected, or at least not quite as much.

In-game advertiser Double Fusion announced today that it was bringing "dynamic video advertisements" to WipEout HD, ads that owners of the PlayStation Network racer have been experiencing (and grumbling about) over the past week.

    I'm glad I mostly finished with Wipeout ages ago (all golds on normal, and I only bothered doing some on hard or hardest mode or whatever, not sure).

    Still, it's a raw deal, considering you have to pay for the game and they aren't (so far as I know) giving you anything in return.

    Update: Sony has removed the ad (temporarily at least).
