Capcom-Unity's Twitter page has an interesting tweet up. According to them, they're off to a meeting to discuss a new sequel for a game that will "blow your mind." You can start speculating on a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 release or some other sequel; however, as they've mentioned themselves, the game won't be revealed to the general public for quite a while.

In five, we're having a meeting to discuss a new game sequel that will BLOW YOUR MIND when you find out about it... much, much later.

It would be nice but not the same without Clover/ Platinum Games at the helm.

Couldn't they just ask Platinum if they'd be interested? Whether or not PG would actually do it is another story though.

I was just thinking Okami 2 but they did say the sales were crap. It could just as easily be a Zack & Wiki sequel.

I guess I'll be the same as most and hope for a MVC3! With awesome graphics and features, but still hopefully it will stick with the general style.

It would be the Street Fighter IV of the MvsC series. It would be glorious.

Most likely DMC5. You know how they like to hype the shit out of shit games, right? Well, DMC officially turned shit in DMC4.

Hey, DMC4 wasn't THAT bad, especially compared to DMC2. Capcom just has better luck with the odd numbered titles, that's all.

Personally, though I would love to see DMC5. It's about time we start hearing something about a new one.

No it wasn't as bad as DMC2, but they kinda went the path of "the boy who turned devil" route. I didn't care too much for it. In terms of gameplay and story, yeah, DMC4 was better than 2, but I prefered the darkness in 2 way more than whatever you call what was in 4.

DMC4 is my favourite next to the original..well, maybe bested by 3, I haven't played enough of that one to know yet.

Anyway, I really don't know how you can hate it while also not thinking 2 was a complete piece of shit. It doesn't even count -- it's an abomination that was made by another team. Shit graphics, absurdly recycled terrain, poor combat design (and therefore boring combat), and terrible story (even for DMC). I honestly had to struggle to finish it, and I only did it out of compulsiveness.

DMC4's story annoys the hell out of me. Big bad evil human wants to become a "God" ooooooOOOOOOOooooo. Isn't that original. Same with DMC3. I was really hoping they were gonna go back to a villian similar to Mundus. Atleast he would have looked cooler.

But I'm getting really sick of these "wannabee evil-people" shit. Go back to actual devils and demons.

That was the main reason why I disliked DMC4.

As with Lost Planet, the story isn't supposed to be original or good -- that's never been the point of DMC games, or even Capcom games. They know they suck with stories, so they make a big joke out of it. It's hilarious to me.

I see what you mean about actual demons, but since I don't care about the story (beyond its value as humour), it makes no difference to me.

The last teaser site sucked. Basura?!? Let us hope greatly that it's better than that. Devil May Cry 5 or another Onimusha? I guess that would be asking too much.

I just hope that this game isn't something obvious that everybody knows will happen sooner or later, like Resident Evil 6.

Last time they hyped something this big, it was Lost Planet 2.

Actually, I think DMC4 helped smack the series senseless, so now a sequel could actually work in its favor.

**note: They need to add co-op.
Yes, co-op, as in twice the badassedry. It has to be online too. Maybe with an expanded multiplayer function (IE: Duo must die mode/yada yada) - gotta fix the lock on feature though.

The first Lost Planet was a great game, and Lost Planet 2 is looking to be even better.

What? I HATED the controls for that game and found the story very uninteresting. It was a mediocre action game with good graphics and great boss battles but that was it really.

I hope Lost Planet 2 has better controls.

        I only want to hear
        New ip
        Resident Evil
        Megaman ..... CLASSIC ONLY

DINO CRISIS!! (remove the .... well space future theme)

I liked Dino Crisis 3, the space future thing was very well implemented and the game played well, i also enjoyed the story alot and have been trying to find the game again so i can play through it.

MegaMan Legends was amazing...if they make a third I'd certainly flip.

Either let it be MvC3 or a DMC5. Say what you want about DMC4, but the gameplay made up for everything...so addicting.

Yeah, I definitely loved DMC4. That entire series holds a special place in my heart.

With possibilities like DMC5, Megaman Legends 3, MvC3, etc, surely it'll be something Capcom gets right.

Perhaps you'd like Lost Planet's controls better on PC -- I'm really enjoying it that way.
The story isn't really supposed to be interesting -- it's a Capcom game. Some parts are terrible in a humourous sort of way...that's what they do.

    Seeker X Aug 6, 09
Quite frankly, whatever Lost Planet had going for it was the epic monsters that you fought along with great graphics.
Then they killed that by making the rest of the game force you into killing other people or mechs with crappy aiming controls. The online sucked even more....I don't know who's idea was it that you could run and breathe underwater.

All I want them to announce is what the hell they are planning to do with the PSP RE.

      chautemoc Aug 6, 09
It's not Capcom's fault you suck at aiming a mech.
They aren't supposed to be particularly easy to control or aim, anyway -- it's a mech.

        Seeker X Aug 6, 09
I meant generally. You needed shoulder buttons to turn 90 degrees, ffs. That and Killzone 2/Chronicles of Riddick both had smooth Mech controls anyways. It's Capcom's fault how they implement the mech gameplay. Now you may be right, I may have had trouble....or maybe it was because the controls were already shitty and then they got shittier.

Wouldn't it be funny if they actually don't a have a game planned and are just sending this info out to see how fans react and then just decide what sequel to make based of that?
