Crytek, most famous for the game Crysis and creating one hell of an engine is upset with what could be future German laws. Germany is about to outlaw even the production of violent games, which would leave Crytek either two options: outscource or leave the country. The law isn't official yet as a petition is in the works to block it from ever becoming official.

Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli has said that a proposal by Germany interior ministers seeking to ban the domestic production of violent games could force the developer to leave the country.

In early June, Germany's 16 interior ministers grouped together in a bid to outlaw the production and distribution of games "where the main part is to realistically play the killing of people or other cruel or un-human acts of violence against humans or manlike characters."

Man I really wish we still had the thumbs down option.Sadly I was one of the people all for it being removed.I should kick myself for being so stupid lol.

Anyway, when an article like this comes along, it makes me think that Aus isn't so bad when it comes to video games after all.

It's one thing to ban games that are deemed not suitable for people under 18, It's a completely different thing to ban, to an extent, any realistic violent games.
