Electronic Theatre reports on the finer details of tomorrow's Xbox LIVE mandatory update, including the launch of the Avatar Marketplace and Games on Demand Service.

Xbox LIVE is set to receive a mandatory update via download tomorrow, 11th August, 2009, bringing with it a great deal of new and intriguing features. While the Games on Demand service, set to offer full Xbox 360 releases through digital distribution, has been widely publicised, there are a number of other additions that are likely to change the way you experience Xbox LIVE forever.

    Some of the props (lighsabers, guitars etc.) look pretty cool. If I have a few spare points left over, I'll get those. But no way in hell am I buying fake clothes, like 2 of my friends already have.

    Also, Games on Demand are all £19.99. I don't know about you guys in the states, but I thought they were 1600 points - a lot cheaper than £19.99.

      Plus you can get games like NFS: Carbon and Mass Effect for half the price in shops now compared to their price on Games on Demand...can't really see many people going for it unless they do some good deals or the games are hard to find in stores

        I got Mass Effect in HMV for £9.98, great condition. And at least then I don't lose it if my harddrive fails.
