Nintendo could be starting to ban Action Reply hackers from playing Pokemon Diamond and Pearl over the internet, only certain codes have been reported to cause a ban so far.

If rumours circulating the Internet are to be believed Nintendo has started to bring the ban hammer to people who have used the Action Reply to enable some specific cheats on their Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games. So far using the codes "National-Dex (After talking with Game Director)", "Catch All 493 Pokemon" and "All Shiny" has allegedly resulted in players getting banned.

Guess they have to take action with the games going online now, before diamond and pearl there really was no issue was cheating since you couldn't affect other people really.

This makes sense. It would be pretty cheap for a player to play someone else with their uber, maxed-out team.

Good. They deserve it. I am strongly against hacking as it ruins the fun out of friendly competition.

I am not against hacking, but banning players because they can hack shiny Pokémon is way too far.
I can tolerate if they will ban users for hacking the stats, but honestly, ban them for getting shiny Pokémon is ridiculous.

It's a smart move for Nintendo I think. Gives those people who don't want to cheat a fair game....untill they find out their Pokemon is weak.

It's good Nintendo is doing this. The hackers take the fun out of playing really. They deserve their punishment.

I have never been too fond of hackers in the past, since they ruin the game not just for themselves but everybody else. Nice move Nintendo for taking care of these pests.

"before diamond and pearl there really was no issue was cheating since you couldn't affect other people really."

Actually, you could ruin someone's town in AC:WW. (Bad)Hackers will plant rock seeds infront of buildings or the gate so that you can't do anything and you have to start a new file.

I have to say for the sake of being fair, not all hackers are bad. Some use their power for good.

    Banned from what?

I agree with them though, if they can stop it, then they should. I don't like cheats and things. But ban them from what?

I also hate cheats. They give lazy players an unfair advantage in a game, not to mention glitches, and it's not fair when going against competitors who want a decent battle. On the up-side, it gives you a buzz if you beat a pokemon trainers' uber team.

Games are better off without cheating. When you cheat, the game loses it's point.

I really hate when people hack the stats of the Pokemon, but I don't see the point of banning shinies, as all they do is look pretty.

Good, Pokemon gameplay should be pure.

I can understand not allowing those that use shiny codes because if they allowed them to get online then everyone would eventually have shiny pokemon therefore ruining the value of them.
