Fans of R-Type, Gradius and the like as well as Crystal Quest or Geometry Wars will want to take a look at Astro Tripper, just released on PC (previously it existed only on the PlayStation Network).

This is a "pre-release" version, meaning it's not guaranteed to work properly or even at all, however we gave it a spin and it ran near perfectly. Developer PomPom Games is selling for it $5 (link below), and with it comes the final version once that's out (you'll get it a week before anyone else, too) and any post-release updates.

Recommended specs are a 2ghz CPU and 7900GT or equivalent video card, along with a controller (if you've got an Xbox 360 controller, that will work dandy).
