EA have announced the release date for Dante's Inferno today at GamesCon. The game will come out on Febuary 9th for all systems. A little to close to GOW3's release date but the game will hopefully catch peoples attention.

At its GamesCom 2009 press conference moments ago, Electronic Arts announced that Dante's Inferno will be released on February 9, 2010. The PlayStation 3, Xbox and PC game adapts Dante Alighieri's epic-poem The Divine Comedy into an ass-kicking action game, although, it leaves out the endless chapters about how awesome heaven is and how boring purgatory is.

Well, hits one month before God of War 3. Wise decision. If they released it during March or even after, it would still get overshadowed by God of War 3.

Its a little close, but I can easily play and beat and get all the trophies in a month. Besides, we don't know if GOWIII will come out. It could be March 1st, it could be March 31st. But its good The Inferno comes out at the beginning of February. Wise marketing choice. And I'm sure if you ask the devs they'd say yes, GOWIII was a factor into the decision.
