Endgadget has been fortunate enough to receive already a new PS3 Slim, which they've appropriately taken out of the box and given a closer look. Head to the source for more photos and all the details.

Yes, we can hardly believe it ourselves, but Sony came a-knockin' at our door today, and we were more than willing to answer. The PlayStation 3 Slim is now official in-house, and it's a matte-laden beaut.

Wow. The PS3 Slim is in fact... SLIM. How enlightening.

I jest, I want one of these real bad! Price cut was much needed.

Hmm, looks nice. I guess the AC did change? Don't think that's the same jack on my fat PS3.

Yeah the current one uses a general computer cord, which I LOVE because I can keep spare cords I had laying about the house, in certain rooms (along with the A/V cords), and when I want to move the PS3 among different rooms, all I have to do is pick up and move the PS3 instead of unplugging everything and resituating everything back again.

This new AC . . . Not sure how general it is.

Gotta be honest, I think the old one looks far better. But hey, people want a slim PS3 and there it is.

The Slim looks dreadful. But looks aren't everything. What's more important is the price drop... too bad it doesn't have backwards compatibility as well, otherwise Sony would have a real winner.
