Now I'm a sucker for FFVIII merchandise due to it being my favorie FF game, but this is really something o.O These guys are trying to make replicas of weapons from the Final Fantasy series as well as the Kingdom Hearts series, and I have to say that they are doing a fine job.

Import store NCSX is good at laying out the latest weird Japanese game/toy imports, and it's just posted lots of pictures of the Square Enix Master Arms collectibles, which are "...scaled replicas of recognizable weapons from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts."

They've gone a little watermark-happy on their extremely useful photos of the just-received replica mini-weapons, which are "Cerberus (15cm length or 5.90" long)... [not pictured, here's a close-up of] Keyblade (18cm length or 7.08" long)... Seifer's Gunblade (26cm length or 10.23" long)... Squall's Gunblade (23cm length or 9.05" long)."

They also handily note, for those worried (or keen!) to exploit the weapon angle: "The blades on the two Gunblades are made of a metal alloy but don't have sharp edges. Run your fingers underneath them and you won't be bleeding afterwards. The points of the blades are sharp however and we don't recommend making stabbing motions when you're holding either Gunblade. Someone could feel threatened." Anyhow - not a gigantic Final Fantasy fan, but these are beautifully designed.

    I am so so so tempted to buy that Squall Gunblade model and putting it on my desk here at work. Although, someone might go touching it >_>;;

    The gunblade has to be my favorite weapon in the Final Fantasy series. These replicas looks really kick ass. I must have one @_@

    It's interesting, but it doesn't seem very useful.

    Did you really want to go around stabbing people with it?

    Actually.... it might be useful after all

    I don't believe I have played a Final Fantasy game that has a gunblade in it. Looks cool though.

      Gunblades are in Final Fantasy VIII. The main character Squall uses one. So does another character named Seifer.

    Lol, apart from stabbing people, and stuff like that, it's not really useful, but it would be pretty cool to show off to people.

    Not exactly very useful, but very nice to place in your room for show. I would probably put that thing on my desk, but probably not a good idea to be carrying it around everywhere.

    They're not long enough, so the dreams of cosplayers everywhere have been dashed forever...

    Of course there not useful is a regular swords or weapons useful no, not unless your killing someone or stabbing someone. Replicas are cool but just decorative. I will probably get one depending on the price.

    These can actually cause pain, though. Oh right, thank you editor, I couldn't get those pictures on here.

    I'd prefer a real working Gunblade. The FF* gunblade would be quite harsh on the wrists.

    I rather have Sephiroth's Masamune or Cloud's Buster Sword, although I do agree that Squall's Gunblade is pretty freakin' sweet!
