Electronic Theatre reports on the confirmation of a simultaneous Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release for Final Fantasy XIII in North America and Europe.

Reaffirming that which we already knew, Square Enix has once again confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases of the high-anticipated Final Fantasy XIII will launch simultaneously on both formats early next year. No exact date has yet been given, though with the Xbox 360 conversion reportedly more than seventy percent complete – which, Square Enix had previously stated only entered development in May of this year – if Square Enix are truly laying their cards on the table, the signs are good that the latest iteration in the much loved series will arrive without further delay.
