In a interview with Edge magazine Greg Zeschuk, the president of Bioware talked about how they had looked into allowing The PS3 and Xbox 360 to download mods made by users on the PC.

“That’s what we are exploring right now. There’s no automated thing where you drop it into a subdirectory and – boom – it’s in the console version. But we could maybe take the crème de la crème – like bring over a couple of great modules [from PC to console] every month or two.”

    Epic Games tried this on Playstation 3 and it ultimately failed as PC gamers showed their selfish side. It was easy enough to cook the mod for both PC and PS3 but alas they all pretty much unanimously chose PC only. It's why Epic Games released that free map pack on the store as the PC gamers and their mods did nothing to help us.
