A new game for the Nintendo Wii has been announced and it is called Capucine. Capucine's main character is a eight year old girl named Capucine. This game offers players a chance to give life to people and things rather then take it away. Your weapon against your enemies isn't a gun, a knife, or anything violent. Your weapon is a beam of light and a flower. Your mission is to go the dead world and bring back life to it. You will play little missions, solve riddles, and battle your enemies with light and a flower.

Capucine is a Wii exclusive exploration / adventure game, developed by French studio NoCulture Team, formulated as a tale and based on shadow and light opposition.

Contrary to most of the current market games, Capucine offers the player to give life rather than take it. Based on a simple gameplay focused on the multiple uses of the heroine’s ray of light, the game also uses a dynamic enemy creation system: shadows generated by the light beam are the enemies. Consequently, the way to play induces the frequency of the fights: if he doesn’t pay attention, the player may put the main character in danger.

Capucine takes place in a fantasy world where everything is dead. The sky, covered with shadows, immerses the world in a slight darkness, like on a full moon night. You play the main character, an eight-year-old little girl called Capucine, who can cast a beam of light from her right hand. In her left hand she holds a capucine flower (the French name for Nasturtium). The aim is to cross the dead world to reanimate it thanks to the child’s power. The player must explore the surroundings, solve riddles and fight enemies.

It does take a twist on games, as most other games are games based on shooting, sports, mini-games, etc. I wonder how the game will be once it comes out.

This sounds quite fun. It's an interesting twist. Usually in video games, there's always violence. But a game like this, where you're doing the complete opposite, could be cool.

Looks a little rough around the edges at this point; if the gameplay proves solid enough, it could warrant a digital release over the Wii's planned digital distribution service.

The game is still very early in development. Improving the graphics are usually one of the last things to do before release.

The concept of this game makes it seem too long for a downloaded game. I would expect a long quest with plenty of puzzles to cover any lack of actual fighting.

The visuals just seem to be at a very early stage, so I expect some major improvements.

I do wonder how she is supposed to defeat enemies though. The beam of light makes sense against maybe a shadow enemy, but what about anything else, would we just be tapping it on the head with some nasturtiums?

Well I think so far even though it's too early to say it looks good and the graphics aren't bad either

Sure, it's different, but I dont see this game being sucessful. It looks like one of those games where you spend the most of your time obtaining clues to treasure maps, or keys to secret dungeons, and I doubt it would have any combat strategy. Just a light and a flower? >.>

Although, the puzzle side will probably make it more long-lasting than some other games. But apart from that?
