European Retailers May Run Out of PS3's

Sony Europe’s head, Andrew House, has made a point to assure gamers that the release of the PS3 Slim will be as seamless as possible. However, many European retailers are claiming that they will run out of the 80GB, and Uncharted Bundle PS3. The drop in price for these two products, has cause a huge spike in demand, and Sony has not been shipping out any more than usual. Andrew House still stays optimistic for the launch of the PS3 Slim:

“I’m very pleased with how we have managed our inventory system on the existing model.

“We’ve done that very well in the European market. There are trucks and trailers leaving right now – it’s on the road.”

    They are going to cut shipments for Normal PS3s and increase slims so when the store runs out of normals they say "We have the brand new slim in stock though for the same price!" and so people buy that instead, which in turn raises the PS3 slim sales figures which in turn makes the Slim a financial success for Sony which in turn raises shares. Which in turn...
