I may be wrong with this, but doesn't the 4th quarter of 2009 actually end in 2010? It is like the "fiscal year" which starts at different points for different countries. 4th Quarter 2009 most likely means January-March of 2010.

No, Q4 means Q4 -- fiscal terms only come in years.

What do you mean fiscal terms only come in years? The United States fiscal year is from October 1st to September 30th, not from January 1st do December 31st. They aren't always within a year.

But I'm glad to see that Q4 in the gaming world is actually the end of the current year.

I mean there are no fiscal months or quarters, only fiscal years. October 1 to September 30 is a one-year period (shy of a day, at least).

Good news, at least it's coming this year!

I'm not sure if I'll have much time to play it though with Modern Warfare 2 coming out.

Great, just another reason for me to save up for a PS3. I am a huge Gran Turismo fan, and I can't wait to play this game.

It's hard to find much better graphics than in GT5.

Well, that's really true for most racing games. It's a genre where gameplay is easy, so devs can concentrate on juicing a console of all the power they can.

FORZA 3 is looking impressive as well.

I seriously doubt it's easy to implement all the stuff Forza and GT have.

I haven't been following news on the game but why is it finally being released in 2009? Why wasn't it a launch title with the PS3?

No, GT5 was never going to be a release title, regardless of what anyone says. If you've ever followed a GT game, you'd know they take ages to complete. Which is why they're only on their 5th iteration over the spans of 3 consoles.

Considering that Gran Turismo PSP is coming out on Oct 1st (out of the blue), I'm not too shocked on a '09 release date....here's hoping it comes true.
