David Cage is in talks with Sony to release DLC for Heavy Rain. They plan on extending the story for the game through DLC. We could see a sequel or even a prequel to the world of Heavy Rain that will expand the story even more. He also revealed that the game has online features, as for what it is we don't know. It most likely would be leaderboards.

While Quantic Dream founder David Cage says the Heavy Rain experience will be self contained on the Blu-ray disc, he has revealed the studio is in talks with Sony about offering additional story elements via DLC.

"It's a self-contained experience. We won't release the end of the game as DLC that you need to pay for. The game has all the scenes it's supposed to have. It's a complete story," Cage told VideoGamer.com at gamescom last week. "But we are talking with Sony at the moment about having maybe extra downloadable content, maybe with prequels or sequels about the characters. I'm sure people will get attached to some of them and will want to know them even better."

If you're going to have an epilogue, please just include it in the game. If there's anything important for the story, don't make me pay for it (a la epilogue for Prince of Persia).

That was some of the most douchey DLC I've ever seen.

Well I don't think that it will be that extremely important to the story line.

I don't think it'll be something important to the story. I'm thinking it may end up something like "Copy-cat killer" or even just another character. I haven't a clue though because of the way this game is SO story-driven, I can't really imagine how they could extend it. Especially with there being so many different endings and such with the story.

Red what if they can't. Ya know this game is huge bigger than any game released, has flawless graphics, dialogue stretching to 20,000 pages of script, soundtrack info and everything else. If any game is stretching 50Gb it would be this. A DLC for the Sequel or Prequel wouldn't be as big as the original title but if they have no room on the disc you can't really expand a story.

    Pretty clear there.
