In an attempted burglary at a residential home in Hialeah, Florida. Damian Fernandez and his sister Deanne were home alone while there parents were at work. Two men knocked at their door and soon after broke in.

Deanne hid in her closest while her brother slept in the room next door, all while the robbers ransacked their parents bedroom taking jewelry and other valuables. Kicking in Deanne's bedroom door one of the men spotted an empty PS3 box. Going back out to steal said PS3 the robber met a blood lusting samurai teen Damian who had by now heard the robbers and had picked up his samurai sword; it's to be noted that Damian has a brown belt in Karate.

quote
Damian said he lunged at him with his samurai sword, striking him in the chest.

"He freaked out," Damian said.

The burglar ran out of the house with Damian chasing him down the road.

I assume the sword was sheathed or else the robber would be more than just freaked out. Police caught one of the suspects however the second got away. Javier Cotera, 21, however was released the next day on bond and is scheduled to appear in court in two weeks. The source actually has a video of the report on this.

Score: Gamer 1 - Robber 0
Lesson: Don't mess with someones PS3

Awesome! Good for him having the balls to face two robbers.

Hmm, coincidence that he's called Damian and he's blood-lusting???

D00d he should've limit break'd his ass with that sword!!! Seriously though, I'm glad our friend Damian wasn't injured as a result of trying to tangle with the thieves. Now where are all the news reports about how PS3 has turned Damian into a blood-thirsty samurai sword wielding maniac?

Unfortunately with todays messed up laws, if he did injure the would-be-thief he could of been charged for assault with a deadly weapon. :\

Wouldn't surprise me if the robber tried to sue him for it later.

It says it probably was sheathed, which would mean that all the robber got was a bit of a prod in the chest.
