Bioware Doesn't Deny Mass Effect 2 on PS3

Mass Effect 2 has been known as an Xbox360 and PC game, but Bioware hasn't denied the possibility that the franchise may come to PS3. When CVG asked Bioware why they haven’t brought the series to PS3 yet, Muzyka stated the following:

“I think a more accurate way to frame it is to say we’ve announced we’re developing Mass Effect for 360 and PC. Right from the beginning we said we wanted to deliver Mass Effect on the 360. Right now all we’ve announced is we’re working on 360 and PC.”

“We haven’t announced anything on that front.”

Maybe Muzyka is holding off giving a definite no, because they are actually considering bringing the franchise to PS3.

    Or maybe he means no, and that they haven't announced anything on the PS3 front because they don't plan to. That may sound rather harsh, but it's like people asking for MGS4 on 360. Just because it could happen doesn't mean it will.

      i know what your saying, but MGS4 wasn't the best example to use....cuase that did go to 360

        MGS4 didn't go to the 360, Metal Gear Rising did, which is a spin off.

    Uhh- MGS4 is not going to the 360. That is a completely new MGS title.

    As for the first comment, when pressed Konami vehemently stated that MGS4 was not going to go 360. I see no such comment in the sourced link, so I would say a timed exclusive. If they are not taking a stance, it will probably happen. That has been the case in a lot of previous exclusives.

    I know it probably won't, but I'd really like to see it on the PS3. This and Fable are 2 reasons I'm envious of 360 owners.

    I think this will end up like Bioshock, first an exclusive to the PC and 360 then eventually coming to the PS3. I still need to pick up the first one to see what all the fuss is about.

    Mass Effect 2 coming to the PS3 is comical, seriously it's downright hilarious.

    The fact that Mass Effect 2 directly links to Mass Effect and your actions in Mass Effect will have consequences on what happens on Mass Effect 2 means that for it to come to PS3 would mean the FIRST Mass Effect would have to come first, which just ain't happening.

      Heard of a box set... Releasing two games to give fans on another system the full story is not unheard of.

        How about Microsoft being the damn Publisher of Mass Effect? Therefore meaning, it ain't gonna happen.

          Publishing rights means very little when Microsoft obviously don't own the licence to the actual game. If they did then BioWare wouldn't be getting Mass Effect 2 published by EA would they? Seriously this game could come to Playstation 3 and the original could come to Playstation 3. Microsoft own *bleep* all they just allowed the original game to get published.

          Mass effect 2 is being published by EA because EA bought bioware after they made Mass effect 1. MS still has the publishing rights to the first one, the other two are free game.

      playing through mass effect 1, isn't a requirement for mass effect 2, although it is preferred.

      Still waiting on the reason why it's actually IMPOSSIBLE.

    No, it won't.

    And even if it would, why? Why would you take an exclusive title, that has a major selling point involving a story surrounding a trilogy all connected, and not bring the first to make the story make some sense?
