Ubisoft and the United States Army are teaming up once again to bring you America's Army: True Soldier a multiplayer online gaming experience for the Xbox 360.

The game, due to bow in September, will feature eight maps developed by Red Storm Entertainment and let players live out the real "Army" life (post-traumatic stress syndrome and loss of pension presumably not included).

With America's Army you'll be able to hop online and play soldier with your friends while, according to the press release, the game:

"...portrays the values that guide Soldiers in the U.S. Army, by specifically incorporating gameplay based on mission accomplishment, teamwork, leadership, rules of engagement and respect for life and property. Just like in real combat, honor and respect must be earned, and in the game, the Play-Lead-Recruit feature allows players to earn respect as they move up through the ranks and become true leaders."

They use this game as a simulator for the army to practice with in different situations. It's helpful from what I hear. Good to know that they are continuing this.

So this is just a way for them to train us for the war in disguise.. ?

But never the less it sounds good, can not wait.

I enjoyed playing the first one. I can't really play a lot, though. Way too *bleep*ing laggy for me. Since it's on the Xbox 360, I definitely have to pick them game up when it comes out.

Sounds a bit like games like Socom. I never really bothered playing many games like that though, but then again, I always seem to have problems getting a video game system to go online with my computer.

Hooo boy. I don't know if it'll be any god or not, but here's a new (well, unusual) way of trying to get people into the Army...

I personally prefer playing airsoft or paintball for practicing real life situations, but if I can do it sitting down, that takes the cake.
