Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement of a release date for the first King of Fighters title to hit the Current-Generation, The King of Fighters XII, in the UK, Europe and Australasia.

Commemorating the 15th anniversary of the franchise, The King of Fighters XII serves-up twenty two characters each with their own unique moves and styles in a stunning 2D production incorporating all-new, high-resolution fighters fluidly animating across painstakingly detailed, 100% hand-drawn backgrounds. Many fan favourites, such as Terry Bogard, Robert Garcia, Ash Crimson, Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami make a welcome return, along with two new additions to the home console version of the title – Elisabeth and Mature.

So lame was suposed to be out today so I went looking for it in town and couldn't find it. Then when I got home I realised they had pushed it back a month. Seriously what's the point? even if the netcode is crappy atleast let us play it offline and give us a patch later. I don't see why we have to wait for the patch before we can even get our hands on the game

I was all ready to play it, guess I'll have to take my anger out on people on KoF 98
