Newly confirmed is a Game of the Year Edition of Fable II, which will arrive September 18 for Europeans. No stateside date is known yet, but the game will be packed with all DLC and retail for an unfortunate €64.99/£39.99 (~$65 USD), about $30 more than the Gears of War 2 pack revealed the other day.

$65.00 USD? Um... Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the normal edition ($~37.00 USD) and the DLC ($10.00, which is 800MP for Knothole Island, and $7.00, which is 560MP for See the Future, for a total of $17.00 USD) seperately?

    Hmm... 37 + 17 = 54... Cheaper than the $65 they're asking.

I'm hoping it's some kind of mistake..doesn't really make a lot of sense as is. But yeah, Play.com is listing it for £39.99 anyway.

I'm confused. Why is every game a game of the year nowadays?

Gears of War 2 is, Fallout 3 is, and Fable II is.

WHICH ONE'S THE ACTUAL GAME OF THE YEAR?

        That was 2007, wasn't it?

Remembered another GOTY for 2008 - Left 4 Dead.

        Now I'm really confused.

Lol they need a new name instead of GOTY.

          Maybe Legacy/Classic Edition?

Don't forget to add Little Big Planet to your list, it's getting one too.

There is no one GOTY -- in theory, all a game needs is one such award from any publication and they can put out a GOTY edition..although maybe a certain amount of sales need to be met, too.
