Here it is, folks; your weekly PlayStation Store update, cutting all the stuff you don't care about and keeping all the stuff you might... er, care about.

A day late this week, unfortunately the last update of August 2009 is looking to be a bit on the slim side. Sony is likely saving the big guns for the PS3 Slim's official release, but word on the street is that it's already available.

Did you get your PS3 Slim yet, or are you going to be passing this one up?

Anyway, the stuff to look out for this week is the playable WET demo, the NHL 10 demo (first person fighting FTW!), and Coolboarders 2 / Tomb Raider 2 as those ever-so-delicious PSOne Classics.

That WET Demo was the most awesome thing ever, In loved it, and it just furthered my decision to get the game

Really? I thought it was terrible, just a poor man's Stranglehold - which has better graphics, tighter gameplay and you can pick up for a fiver these days.

Haha thank you! Me and a few friends have been stating that WET is basically Stranglehold but with a woman.

It's a rental for me, the games mediocre.

WET wasn't bad. It seemed like Max Payne meets Call of Juarez meets obvious sex appeal. Not bad, but so many good games come out at the time so yeah, a rental should suffice.
