You got that right, yet more news on the Xbox 360 v.s. Wii v.s. Playstation 3 battle. Xbox 360 is now at 10 million sold while to PS3 refused to budge since May 17th. Guess what? The Wii sold 1 million since then, making it, what, 1 million units sold in a month? Surprised? The Wii is now at 8 million. We still don't know how this will all flatten out. The Xbox 360 is pushing ahead, but the Wii could take the lead at any moment, while the PS3 struggles behind, hoping for a breakout.

Wii achieved tremendous sales in just a month. Xbox 360 sales were enough to give it 10 million flat total, while PS3 barely moved an inch. From the last console sales chart, the numbers were:

Xbox 360: 9.71m (0.39M Japan, 6.17m America, 3.16m Others)
Wii: 7.09m (2.46m Japan, 2.84m America, 1.79m Others)
PS3: 3.31m (0.91m Japan, 1.44m America, 0.96m Others)
That was May 17, 2007. Now, Wii is riding its momentum and gained the highest increase - a whopping one million units sold, in just a month. Here are the numbers:

Xbox 360: 10.00m (0.39m Japan, 6.40m America, 3.21m Others)
Wii: 8.10 (2.64m Japan, 3.29m America, 2.17m Others)
PS3: 3.42m (0.94m Japan, 1.49m America, 0.99 Others)
Microsoft's machine sold around 300,000 units worldwide, while Sony's underdog got 111,000. At this rate, Nintendo could take the lead in a month. Looking at the graph above, 360's headstart does nothing to weaken Wii.

Halo 3 is right around the corner, while some hot games are coming for PS3; it's probably too early to decide, so hold on to your horses. Only time will tell if analysts are right, if Wii is just a fad and the PS3 will take over in a few years.

The 360 is probably in the lead because it came out first. The Wii will most likely become the first, since it has motion sensors and good games. The PS3 will probably be in last place, because it's generally regarded as not having the best games.

The Wii will probably be in the lead soon, but once Halo 3 comes out, I assume Xbox will be in the lead again, which will probably change again when Super Smash Bros Brawl comes out, putting Wii back in the lead again.

And when SSB: Brawl comes out, it may be a hard battle between the Xbox 360 and the Wii.

When SSBB is released...I'm picking up a Wii with it, as are five other friends. That's definately a huge turning point for the Wii. Don't count the PS3 out yet, though. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is sure to be a hit, as is FFXIII next year and other titles.

Most people who want an Xbox 360 for Halo probably already purchased the system by now, while people like me are waiting for better title on the Wii and PS3 to his store shelves and get them one time.

I think that once October gets here is out (provided the games don't get delayed...AGAIN) it will definetly be a boost for the PS3, and September will be ANOTHER boost.

Give it some time and the PS3 will be selling just fine. The Wii is doing amazing. The Nintendo Wii sold 1 million consoles this month alone. That's just crazy. In a year or two though I think the PS3 will be on top.

Who cares what others think about whos in the lead! we know lack of games is because of the PS3's downfall as well as the price, and as we all know once the big games start coming out there will be an increase, look how many on neoseeker are saying there getting a PS3 for a certain game, now if thats a board doing that whats it like world wide???

Yeah the Wii is definitely going to be in the lead sometime soon, since it still shows no sign of slowing down in sales. With all of the big hit games coming out in the future for all three consoles, all will sell very well.

The PS3 is selling incredibly well if you take into account the lack of games, come October and the PS3 will be sold out worldwide i mean all the games everyone wants are out then...

In my opinion, the Wii will be first, the PS3 will be second, and the Xbox 360 will be last. Actually, each console has the same chance, they just need to explode their systems more.

The PS3 is still selling well I think but just the Wii and 360 are selling better because I'm pretty sure it was mention somewhere the PS3 is doing better than the PS2 and PS1 did when they first started but I could be wrong there.

But I definately see the Wii overtaking the 360 in sales by the end of the summer at least.

It did better in Europe over the first 10 weeks, but has done poorly in other parts of the world when compared to PS1 and 2.

This generation is shaping up to be a much closer race than the last. Xbox has stepped up with more 3rd party support, although its abysmal sales in Japan will keep it lower than PS3 in the long run. Wii is eating up everything right now, it will be interesting to see if its sales can continue to stay so high.

Yeah, I could see the PS3 coming up as the underdog, but I still think the Xbox 360 will still lead, but with the Wii just slightly behind and the PS3 a little farther back, but not enitrely far like it is now. It needs a price drop to maybe $500 for the 60GB.

The PS3 will struggle in the short term, but with some good, new releases, it will surely catch up in the long term.

Im sure the Wii will over-take X-Box 360 regardless, because of the highly antiscipated SSBB.

Yea i think the 360 is in the Lead and will move steadily up, the Wii will keep moving up due to the limited supply, and the PS3 will stay low because only ignorant people who only like sports games would buy one

Ouch, oh well, who didn't see that coming? IMO 360 is better than ps3 and for much less. It has better online, and the graphics arent thatt much worse.
