The one thing missing from Guitar Hero's truly excellent gameplay enjoyment was that you couldn't beat the hell out of a virtual drum kit alongside your pals thrashing their molded Gibsons. Well, welcome to Taiko Drum Master on the DS - complete with mini-drum stick styluses. We're importing. NOW!

As the (English) name suggests, the game is a rhythm action title which sees players trying to keep up with the notes of a chosen song's drum part as they are displayed on the screen. This can be done with the buttons on the DS, though it’s undoubtedly far more gratifying to tap away at the touchscreen with the ‘drumstick’ styluses supplied with the game.

Personally, I think this idea is awesome. You can pound the drums like in a rock band, and you can add more beat to your music. The only thing, however, won't all that beating damage your touch screen? It just may be a little too much for the DS, but nevertheless, still a brilliant idea.

Now they just need to connect this game with GHIII and get a microphone, and we can start a Nintendo band!!!

Aww that'd be absolutely amazing! That's a great idea- a drumstick stylus!

They've already got a "micro-phone", not a very good one mind you, but it's still there. XD
