Sony just released the latest PS3 firmware update. Complete with new dynamic backgrounds, reworked friends list, and plenty more, this is one the biggest updates Sony has released for the PS3.

As promised, Sony just released firmware 3.0 for the PS3. Revealed during their GamesCom conference a couple weeks back, Sony really plans on showcasing some new ideas with this newest firmware and improving current features, too.

        It's fine now. I think it was just caching all the new network data. Such as friends trophies. I noticed those took awhile to load.

    Yeah this update was disappointing. It was nothing but cosmetic renovations to the XMB. They need to add cross game chatting.

    I was expecting something more with this update.

    They've ruined the friends list, I don't think it looks good anymore.
