Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase recently revealed that the company is "exploring the option of downloadable content" for Final Fantasy XIII. But if you don't have access to PSN or XBL, don't worry, the DLC will not expand on the main story.

"We are exploring the option of downloadable content, perhaps adding new areas, items or enemies, but these would not be expansions to the story, only the gameplay. The entire story of FF13 will be on the disc,” according to Kitase.

This would mark a major u-turn after the publisher stated there would be no DLC for the game at all a while back.

Hmm, I can't imagine what they could offer which would make me buy DLC for XIII. If it doesn't expand the story there isn't much I think of.

How about insanely tough boss fights which will test your skill and detemination? Caus tbh, i'd love for them to add bosses like that in as DLC.

Well, most Final Fantasy games have those aleady. In which case they'd likely be cutting content just to charge us for it.

But I don't think extra bosses would be all that great either

No i mean, we'd already have the hard bosses, but then they expand with extra dungeons focusing on the end game content for people who've beaten the game and still want a little extra.

Lost Odyssey has done it, they released a brand new insanely hard dungeon as DLC and from what i've heard it's pretty damn good.

Make up your *bleep*ing minds already, Square Enix.

Battle arena. Where we can play as Jihl. In a skintight leather bodysuit.

Some sort of minigame centre. I would gladly play a minigame where I had to replace Maqui's wrench with a stick of dynamite, or throw popcorn at Jihl's cleavage.

I don't really care about DLC at this point. Just give me the Japanese voices and I'll gladly buy this game regardless of DLC! Hell, they could even sell the Japanese voices as a DLC. That would work too.

How about actually releasing the GAME first, THEN we can talk about DLC.

They [Square-Enix] included DLC into The Last Remnant, so I don't see why they wouldn't in Final Fantasy XIII.=]
