It seems the exclusive PS3 Joker DLC didn't tip Batman: Arkham Asylum's sales in the UK. According to Gfk Charttrack, 55% of sales went to the Xbox 360 and 45% to the PlayStation 3.
It is currently topping the sales charts.

The sales were split in favour of the Xbox 360. Despite the latter's exclusive playable character of The Joker (one of the best features of the game in our opinion), 55 per cent of sales went to the Xbox 360 and 45 per cent to the PlayStation 3 according to numbers provided by Gfk Charttrack.

Nintendo's Wii Sports Resort drops to second place, with Codemasters' Ashes Cricket 2009 not far behind at third.

I think there trying to say that the Joker DLC for the PS3 didn't do much to help in sales.

I'd say it did; imo if the PS3 didn't have the Joker DLC it would have been 60-40/75-35.

It's a shame the article doesn't cite the percentage ownership of the two consoles... the numbers are sort of meaningless without it. For example, if 70% of people have a 360 and only 40% have a PS3, then that makes the 45% marketshare for the PS3 version more significant than the 55% of the 360 version. Just my 2-cents.

True, but that would involve, like, research, and stuff. You can't expect that of 'journalists' these days

LOL. Very true. I guess it's easier to just make stuff up or pull numbers from fancy charts.

Whoopy shit...can't imagine anyone who is wondering which console to get the latest game for reads these platform sales percentages and makes their mind up using that (especially for predominately single player games)

Nobody uses it to decide what they'll get; they use it to back up their own fanboy retardedness, or as something to mock.
